Hi Folks,
Please find below the Final bench draws for the weekend.
Saturday's has changed slightly on the right hand side of the range with an additional competitor nominating this afternoon, I've had to move some people around to accommodate and balance things.
Cheers,
Dave.

Just a reminder to everyone attending the Nightforce ACT Fly Championships this weekend.
All match entry fees are strictly CASH only!
Please come prepared.
See you all at the range in the morning.
Dave and your whole crew....
Thanks again for putting on such a great event.
Special thanks to the Target crew, the scorers and lions club for catering, they all work hard, all day for the entire time!
I know, it is no small effort, and I am mindful that our enjoyment is a direct result of all that you do.
Without your efforts, there would either be chaos, or no competition.
Big thanks to Night Force for the awesome prize pool. The sponsorship helps encourage newcomers, which in turn helps everyone who supports our sport.
Such a great thing to spend time with like minded folk who never hesitate to help you out, offer up knowledge and experience, or share in the chance to have a communal whinge about the disappointment of a wind change, the cost of equipment or whatever!
Hope to see you all back there in March, if circumstances permit.
Hi All,
On behalf of all the match organisers, thank you to everyone who attended the ACT Fly Championships this past week end.
It was great to see everyone at the range again enjoying themselves, even in some challenging conditions.
A huge thanks to Night Force for their continual support. We are very lucky to have this relationship, I know that it is appreciated by all the shooters, especially those lucky enough to walk away with one of the great prizes. I very big thank you to Dave Groves, and Tom from Nightforce, for their hard work in putting this sponsorships together.
Conditions for winning one of the very generous prizes on offer was that you had to be in attendance at the presentation on Sunday afternoon. Some shooter would regret leaving early, but those that did not did stay did not seem to be upset when more then one prize had to be redrawn.
Major Lucky Door Prize of a Night Force Competition Scope was drawn from all who competed over the weekend and was won by Sergey.
50% off a Night force Scope was drawn from all who competed in Centrefire on Saturday and was won by first time fly shooter Michael Burden.
Horus Spotting scope was drawn from all who competed in Rimfire on Sunday and was won by Stephen Ball.
Lightforce Driving Lights was once again drawn from all who competed over the weekend and was won by Jan Mitchell.
Conditions were definitely challenging on the weekend, and that started on Friday with set up and sighting in. Temperatures reached 27 degrees with heavy mirage and switching winds. Most shooters were happy to just get a shot on target.
Saturday came along with a lot of haze around in the morning. The haze cleared as the day warmed up, but in came heavy mirage and some very challenging wind conditions with temperatures reaching 28 degrees. For a lot of the day it was hard for us in the scoring shed to find 5 shots on the target, let alone for the shooter on the firing line trying to find them from 500m away through a rifle scope.
At the end of the day it was Sergey, who continued with the consistency that he has shown all year, who came out on top with his heavy gun and a score of 243.02. Second in heavy gun was David Z with 220.02 and third was James Blacker with 217.04.
Second overall and first in Light Gun was Ivan Wilson with 237.02, second was Sergey with 219.03, and very close in third was Ian Parks with 219.02.
High Target and small group in Heavy Gun was Sergey with 56.01 and 2.293 inches.
High Target in Light Gun was Robert Bernard with 54.00 and small group was shot by Richard F with 1.634 inches.
Sunday rolled around and in true Canberra fashion, temperatures dropped drastically, with a top of 12 degrees although it felt much colder, and everyone was desperately searching for jackets and gloves. With the drop in temperature the winds definitely did not drop, they remained very switchy with strong gusts coming through that caught most people off guard, more than once.
At the end of the day it was Jan Mitchell that came out on top with 273.04. Second was Dave Dundas with 264.05 and third was 259.03 scored by both Michael Bell and Bruce Y, however after implementing tie break rules third place was secured by Michael Bell, who score high target of the day with 59.00. Small group was shot by Tim Pavey with 1.436 inches.
Full results from the weekend can be found below.
