Hi All.
Sheets updated as at 28/6/26
Sorry it has taken a while to get this out. Please find above a combined leaderboard board for all 2026 Registered Matches. This contains tabs that Light Gun, Heavy Gun Rimfire, and Multi Guns.
The second attached file is a break down of different shooting stats. It shows, highest score achieved this year, best placed finish, Highest target, and much much more.
All the different columns can be filtered, just click on the little arrow drop down menu on each column, to filter or sort as you wish.
I would really like to hear some feed back on these sheets.
Is it something people want to see? Do people find it interesting and worth looking at?
Is there information that is not shown that you would like to know?
Hi Fred,
Great reading, especially the combined leader-boards !
What is does show is the divide between centrefire and rimfire scores............ eg 1 of the top 10 scores is centrefire, 16 of the top 20 are rimfire..... averages of the top 10, 20 or 30 for each class show significant statistical difference. We are looking at sufficient results to be statistically meaningful, and for that matter, you could combine multiple years of data and I believe the difference would hold up as rimfire is around 10% higher in average score to place.....
Would this occur if rimfire went back to 200 Metres........ I personally think the stats would then be MUCH closer as 200 Metres is approx 10% further. and all ranges that shoot registered matches can accommodate 200 Metres or Yards........
Anyway, it is what is it, and it is the same for everyone.
Good work.
Cheers
Anthony
Great work Fred, its looking good. I love going back over the old stats, even from years ago.
Example:
I was kicking myself I had not recorded my targets\scores from any of the Fly shoots in the past. I then remembered all the old scores are kept here on the web site and grabbed the results from the last 3 years and put them into a spreadsheet. Why - I had a feeling that my first target in Rimfire is often one of my worst of the day, this is despite conditions usually get worse as the day goes on.
Result - I found that my best targets (over last 3 prior) for Rimfire were split between the "C" and D" targets, I thought this was odd and of course could be many reasons why. Seeing that Rimfires are sensitives little beasts I thought maybe the rifle barrel was settling down as more rounds went down the tube. From that point on I now fire way more sighters on the warmer card and my results have improved.
The level of competition is so high that you can not afford to give away 10 points or more on your first card or two as its a dam long way back. So the answer is get a good solid start on your first card and then try to hold it together as conditions change thru out the day. After all, 90% of the time the best conditions are first thing in the morning.
Cheers
