Hi everyone,

just looking at the entries on the Google Sheets system that Matty and Fred continue to improve for the Discipline, we have 45 individuals on Saturday taking up 82 entries and currently 58 entries for Sunday!

Looking forward to seeing everyone here, tonight I intend to send an email to all who’ve entered.

Cheers,

Dave

Another very well run fly shoot with good weather and fun but interesting conditions.  Thanks so much to Dave Groves, the target crew and all others who put in the hard work to make this event so enjoyable and successful.

@rdavies, well said Rod and yes , the conditions were certainly "interesting"!!

Despite this some really great scores were posted, particularly by Matty Riches who handled the lightning quick direction change's with relative ease.

A big thanks to the whole team for their efforts both seen and unseen, the efficiency of the target changers and the scorers who's efforts make the day go smoothly.

I also want to single out a couple of individuals...

Dave, who went out of his way to ensure that myself and my 2 mates were able to compete in the rimfire, kindly lending one of his own rifles to one of us and even making sure we had some decent ammo. from his personal stash.

Glenn Aarson who took the time to impart as much knowledge as he could, to spot and make wind calls and also lend his back up rifle.

Gary Baron who shared his rest to save bench change over times.

Each time we come, we feel welcomed by the fraternity and learn something new to add to the knowledge arsenal.

Our goal was to come home with fly patches which we achieved thanks to he above, and improve our overall positioning on the score sheet.....(maybe we can work a bit harder on that, Lol)

We enjoy the camaraderie as well as the challenges and it keeps us coming back!

Fantastic weekend.
