Sunday saw a few sore heads and some empty bottles but apparently a good time was had by all and as usual Dave’s damper was first class. This was a chance for everyone to test out the new target frames and splash plate. Another sunny day was in store with considerably milder conditions and there were some excellent targets shot.  Plenty of group sizes were in the 9’s scoring around the 1.4 to 1.7 inch mark before David Dundas put down a cracker 0.995 on his A target which scored a 60.4 beating the range records for both small group and high target. David was on a high until his record was beaten on the D target with a group of 0.765. Luckily it was David who had bettered his own group from earlier in the day.

Wagga SSAA would like to thank all the volunteers who spent days at the range in preparation for the event and ran target crews, range officer duties and scoring etc. These matches don’t happen without our volunteers and their efforts are appreciated.

Thanks to all the competitors who all had a good time and ensured that rule 10 was complied with. Great to see you visit our range and look forward to seeing you all in the future.

Well done Chappo, great weekend.

As it turns out we were lucky to even have the event with the issues around danger areas re Wagga's range template.

Wagga now has a lot of work to do with potentially very high costs to get the range legal at 300 and 500 meters!

Just another example of why we  should never take our game for granted.
