2026 Blue Heeler Classic & NSW State Fly Titles
REGISTRATIONS
August 21st – 23rd
Wagga SSAA is pleased to host the 2026 NSW Fly State Titles which includes the Blue Heeler Classic at the Big Springs SSAA Range Wrigleys Lane. 500 CF on Saturday 22nd August and 200RF on Sunday 23rd August 2026.
This year also marks the 2nd year of the Paul Deehan 500m fly Heavy Gun Perpetual trophy proudly donated and presented by Paul’s Family on Saturday afternoon to the Heavy Gun winner. Paul was a long-standing member of our club and a passionate short and long range shooter.
Program
Friday 21st August
Setup and practice
- Bench Draw by 8am
- Setup and practice from 1pm
Saturday 22nd August
500m Centrefire LG & HG
- Weigh in from 8:00am
- Match Commences at 8:30am
Sunday 23rd August
200yd Rimfire
- Weigh in from 8:00am
- Match Commences at 8:30am
Nominations
- $50 per class (meal voucher included in price each day of the competition)
- Both matches will be run in accordance with current fly rules.
- You must fill out all form fields in the entry form and provide all the requested information accurately. These details are used to create bench draws and for tracking and calculating scores.
Shooters are now given the option to choose whether or not they wish to have their full name published in the results. If you elect to abbreviate your surname in the entry form, then your surname will be abbreviated to the first letter of your surname in all published results relating to the match.
If you have further privacy concerns about the use of other media such as images and videos relating to the event being shared across the disciplines usual broadcast channels, then please bring this up with the match organizers either prior to the match or after arriving at the range.
Prizes
- Prizes include a IBI 27inch 6mm 1:8 twist MTU profile stainless barrel for the overall two-day winner.
- Overall winner will be 3Gun LG,HG,RF.
- There will be some lucky door prizes (not yet disclosed). You must be entered on both days and be at the presentation on the Sunday draw to be eligible.
- State medallions for all recognised placings, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, HT and SG, each class as well as Juniors, 2 gun and 3 gun winners etc..
Facilities & Contact
- EFTPOS for entry fees preferred and cash for catering
- Camping is available at the range and is FREE. Limited power available. Hot showers and WIFI.
- Catering provided Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast and lunch available both days
- Coffee van will be available both mornings
