Hi All,

Nominations are open for the 2025 Federal Cup, please nominate now!

If we have a big rollup for Rimfire, we’ve got sufficient plates (thanks to Batemans Bay for giving us their 5 spares) to run 30 benches, so we should be able to cater for 60 shooters in two relays with the addition of another target frame.

If you shoot a Fly over the weekend you’ll be in the draw for some prizes, including a couple of rifle bags being supplied by Scotty from Southside Reloading, a box of 6mmBR brass and an assortment of useful firearms related items purchased from Tough Gear in Queanbeyan.

Further details below.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Canberra

Please find attached the preliminary bench draws for the weekend.

If you see anyone missing, please let us know, we’ve done our best to accommodate share requests, but it can be difficult, so please only get back to us with anything that will prevent participation, like sharing a rifle or rest.

Please remember to bring cash to pay your entry fees. EFTPOS facilities are NOT available for match fees.

On behalf of all the organisers I would like to thank everyone who attended the 2025 Federal Cup.

A big thank you to the supporters of this event, Scott Benson from Southside Reloading, and Dima Grymalyuk from Dema Rifle Systems. Your support and contributions were greatly appreciated.

With 62 individual competitors making up 126 entries it was great to see everyone at the range once again. There was a total of 22489 points scored and 171 Flys shot (102 of these from rimfire).

On Saturday Canberra showed us all what the wind can really be like. Add to that mist and fog on the warmers, and marriage later in the day, it definitely made it challenging. Sunday was little more forgiving. This showed in the fly count and the average group size, with Sundays average group size being 7 and Saturdays average group size being only 4.

Well done to Ivan Wilson and Anthony Hall who both shot 4 flys on Saturday and Barry Tucker who shot 7 flys on Sunday, while Micky Bell shot the most total combined flys with 9.

Congratulations to the winners from each class.

Light Gun: Matt Riches 250.02

Heavy Gun: Peter Cross 241.02

Rimfire: Dave Groves 276.05

High targets:

Light Gun: Less Fraser 55.01 (there were 3 targets with 55.01, but Les won on a count back with 4 tens being shot)

Heavy Gun: Kathy Dundas 57.01

Rimfire: Michael Bell 60.02

Small Groups:

Light Gun: Anthony Hall 2.003

Heavy Gun: Kathy Dundas 1.597

Rimfire: Michael Bell 0.972
