Please find attached the results from this weekends Fly Match at Wagga.

Set up and practice went off without a hitch however a complete loss of power with our clubs batteries depleted to zero % (possibly caused by someone turning the generator off) created mayhem on Saturday morning. The match was unable to commence as we could not get power back into the batties as they would not take a charge from the generator. After a thousand meters of extension cords were distributed throughout the building directly to the generator we were finally able to get under way some 2.5hrs late. 

Some interesting conditions kept everyone honest for the day and thanks to an awesome target crew we were able to make up a bit of time as the day progressed.

Sunday was brisk with a hint of fog but we got going on time. Some nice targets come across the scores bench with two screamer patches earned by two seperate shooters.

We had a Junior who was on a come and try P650 day, who was forced to comply with our targets and timings. We kept his score just for fun and he wouldve taken 3rd in RF if he had been elligible.  God help us all when he gets his licence.

A huge shout out to our major sponsor Wagga Work Wear and Outdoor Sporting Agencies Australia. Special mention to BRASS TRACK, Workhorse Tooling and Riverina Firearms (Griffith) who also donated prizes for the weekend.

Each of the place getters were able to pick from a combined 20 Boxes of Sierra and Berger 6mm and 6.5mm Target Bullets kindly donated by Wagga Work Wear and Outdoor Sporting Agencies Australia.

Volunteers Bruce Milne and Brent McKee took out the two Bunnings Vouchers donated by the club.

The club also gave out 4 lucky door prizes of two tins of ADI 2208 and two BRASS TRACK ammo boxes.

Runner up Juniors also received a custom made WORKHORSE TOOLING 22 Rimfire thickness guage.

Looking to buy a Nightforce Comp 55x FCR-1 Reticle for a new CF build (Dasher) for the wife. Let me know if you have one to sell, can pickup at Fly shoots if easier.

The Man Keiton Puzey has set a new Rimfire National Smallest group record of 0.711" 

   The spotter saw all 5 shots on paper but when we scored the target we agreed there was 5 but being so close to a National record I want to make sure 100% so I sent the Target to Anthony to work his magic with his computer program and camera as I want there to be no issues, measured with 0.130 centre's and normal hole size in pics below 

and in other less exciting news I set a new Range record for Total RF score of 279.05 

we had some tricky right to left winds for the CF on Saturday but the Sunday was great conditions with the odd rain shower at times

Saturday 12th Sep: 7am Range open for final setup, 8am Commence Fire. 500m CF HG followed by 200yrd Rimfire.

Sergey as always shot very consistently over the course of the weekend taking 2^nd in LG, the overall win in HG and took out the 3 gun. Michael Bennett not only shot the highest target and smallest group a 59.01 @ 0.908 in HG, he beat the old range record that has stood since 2013. Congratulations Michael.

Come Sunday it was time for the 200yd rimfire, and what a day it was for Kathy Dundas. Kath took the win with and amazing 282.07 just two flies off the national record and also shot the best target of the day with a 59.03 @ 1.040. Way to go Kath.

Scottie of Southside Reloading Fame shot the most flies over the weekend with an amazing total of 17. He’s consistency over the weekend paid off as he took out the 2gun centrefire + rimfire with a 3^rd in LG, 4^th in HG and 2^nd in the rimfire.

I think the biggest winner of the weekend, if only for the big smile he always seems to walk around with :D was Young Lawson who not only came 2^nd in the JR’s but walked away with the Garmin chronograph that was donated by  Teresa and Bruce from Mollymook Beach Hut.
